Discovery Paddle Boat Grand Opening
The Discovery Center of Idaho recently acquired the paddle boats in Julia Davis Park and developed a public grand opening event to reintroduce the experience to the Boise community. This campaign was created to build awareness around the launch while capturing the playful and community-centered atmosphere of the park.
Mission
Create a visual campaign for the grand opening that encourages families and community members to reconnect with the Discovery Center through an outdoor experience. The goal was to develop a cohesive identity system that could translate across social media, large-scale advertising, vendor outreach, and promotional materials while reflecting the energy of Julia Davis Park.
Solution
As part of the marketing team, I helped develop a visual campaign centered around custom illustrated visuals inspired by the landscape surrounding the paddle boats. My work included billboard advertisements, social media graphics, promotional videos, vendor recruitment materials, and digital content designed to build anticipation leading up to the event. Bright colors, illustrated scenery, motion content, and accessible layouts were used to create a welcoming and visually recognizable campaign across multiple platforms.
